About Fr Jacob Siemens
The Rev. Dr James Siemens (Father Jacob) is a priest of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, and an active academic working in historical theology with a particular focus on Christological questions in Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages.

He serves the Parish of St Theodore of Tarsus and St Teilo of Llandaff in Cardiff, which meets for Divine Liturgy and other services at Conway Road Methodist Church on Conway Road in Canton, CF11 9NT.

Father Jacob grew up as an Anglican in Canada, serving as a deacon and a priest on the island of St Kitts in the West Indies, Saskatchewan, Canada, and finally Manchester, England, before leaving the Anglican Church for what he believed was an 'Orthodox Church in communion with Rome' - the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Eventually, he realised that this compromise was unworkable, and became properly Orthodox at the Cathedral of St Alexander Nevsky in Paris on 17 December 2020.
