Books for Enquirers & Catechumens
Orthodox Basics was written to accompany those preparing for reception into the Orthodox Church. It is a useful book for enquirers of all sorts, and includes questions at the end of each chapter in order to inspire further thought. It can be easily read by individuals, but is especially good as a tool for groups learning together about the Faith under the guidance of a priest.

The First Word on the Orthodox Church was written as an introduction to Orthodox life and thought, that would be entirely sound, but also easily accessible to readers at any level. It seeks to cover most questions a person might ask first when approaching the Orthodox Church.

Theology, Philosophy, and History
Eastern Christian Approaches to Philosophy is a compilation of essays, that seeks to redress the absence of an Orthodox Christian voice from contemporary philosophical discourse by bringing the Eastern Christian tradition into a meaningful dialogue with it. Among other things, the book addresses such topics as contemporary atheism, the metaphysics of action, religious epistemology, the philosophy of language, bioethics, the philosophy of race, and human rights. In so doing, it aims to introduce contemporary readers to unique perspectives and novel arguments often overlooked by mainstream anglophone philosophy.

The Christology of Theodore of Tarsus brings to the fore the thought of a remarkable saint, who emerged from Asia Minor, spent time in Syria, Constantinople, and Rome, before being appointed as Archbishop of Canterbury at the age of sixty-six. As someone who attended the Lateran Council of 649 alongside St Maximus the Confessor and was responsible for one of the most important schools of early medieval Western Europe, St Theodore represents an Eastern light to the Western Church.
